With Joomla it is possible to be able to update your own website, add articles, as many as you please, edit them, ad images, add pages, add menus, remove pages, much more and all without any code knowledge.

A great feature is easy access, you can delegate access to editors, publishers, authors, managers, administrators to access the site from the front and back end. Thus its not all up to you , you can have a team adding content and keeping your site updated.

What do I do next to get one of these websites up and running?
There are a few places to start but while you are thinking about content you will be adding, a great place to start is the template, what you want it to look like.

So how do I go about getting a template designed for my Joomla site?

1. Look at other websites.
2. Look for the corrrect colours, colours matter, practical, easy to read.
3. Structure your site to what you want to do with it, keep it simple.
4. Keep graphics & flash to a mimimum.  Graphics slows you down, need a balance.
5. How many columns on the left &/or right, what are the columns going to be used for.
6. Where do you want the menu, left or right column, top of page or below the header.
7. Need a footer, what links if any on the footer?

Here are some questions we will ask you:

1. We need 3 colours, web safe colours if possible, else the colours look diffirent on each browser, colours in hex format; eg; #F00000, read it off the link above.
2. Site structure: column on left and right, only left, only right, wide or narrow.
3. Header/footer height and width (site width)
4. Menu postion, gloss or flat, cascading?
5. Supply images if possible, else images might need to be purchased.
6. Logo/Branding images, branding text
7. Fonts required, stay with basic fonts, your visitors may not have the same fonts that you have installed on their PC's.
8. Site style, square/ rounded corners, drop shadows.
9. We need one or two web site links that looks similar or have aspects you are looking for in a web site.

From this information we can set up a draft template, and work from there.

We have an idea of the template what now?
You need to think about the menu structure, what menu items you will be needing, from this you can branch out to content.

What is great about this site is that you can add the content later, once we have finished the template, uploaded the site for you and configured it, all you need to do is add your content and you have a very professional easy to manage website with plenty more potential.

 How much does all of this cost?
Custom website with a custom template to your specifications is: R3500
This includes a total of 10 hours work which will be a complete operating website with a few pages of content supplied by yourself.
Should you wish us to add addidtional content or specialised functions we can quote you for this based on content volume and type.

Payment terms:
- Payment terms: R2000 in advance, the difference (R1500.00) plus any additional work requested (charged at R250/hour) on completetion and before handover of access codes.
- Additional work is done at our hourly rate of R250 if not quoted for.
- Quotes are approximate, as full scope of work is required for more accurate numbers.
- All costs are inclusive, VAT registration pending.

Once a website has been purchased you will be able to download a questionaire via your client area which will guide us as to how you want your site to look and to be set up.
