Should you wish to purchase a domain only, please contact us with the domain name and under which existing hosting package you wish to park it or set it up as an addon domain.

Domain only purchases are accepted only for clients who already are hosting with IDS.

IDS Hosting is able to offer more domains than which are listed in the drop down on the home page, above and also those visible in the client area. Listed below are all the domains we offer, but those not found in the client area usually has some condition attached to them such as a business or residence address in the relevant country or some tricky renewal procedure. We do however recommend that any special country domain be obtained by yourself via your local registrar, and pointed to your web site on our servers. Nameserver information can be found in the New Account Information email you received upon hosting application with IDS. 

How do I point a domain to IDS Hosting?

Some registrars allow you to point a domain to another nameserver in the admin section of your account with them, others, such as CO.ZA  need you to request this via a ticket or a text form.

After you have pointed your domain to our nameservers you should be able to access your new site with your own domain. But while you are waiting for your domain to resolve, which can take up to 24 hours, we will send you a temporary URL that will allow you view your website via a browser. This temporary domain will be found in the email entitled: New Account Information.
