Should you wish to purchase a domain only, please contact us and we will forward you the link. This link is with held as domain only purchases made with local registrars, such as co.za, is a problem and needs a host to park it.

Domain only purchases are accepted only as addon domains for clients who already are hosting with IDS.

IDS Hosting is able to offer more domains than which are listed in the drop down on the home page, above and also those visible in the client area. Listed below are all the domains we offer, but those not found in the client area usually has some condition attached to them such as a business or residence address in the relevant country or some tricky renewal procedure. We do however recommend that any special country domain be obtained by yourself via your local registrar, and pointed to your web site on our servers using the nameservers listed below.

How do I point a domain to IDS Hosting?

Some registrars allow you to point a domain to another nameserver in the admin section of your account with them, others need you to request this via a ticket or a text form (co.za).

So how do I know which server to point my domain to?

You should already have access to your cPanel via a temporary link, open your cPanel and look on the left hand side, narrow column, the server name will be found there. cPanel demo

Can I point a domain to IDS Hosting then open a hosting, email or parked account?

This will not work, the domain must be set up on the server first, else it will not know which IP to use.

After you have pointed your domain to our nameservers you should be able to access your new site with your own domain. But while you are waiting for your domain to resolve, which can take up to 24 hours, we will send you a temporary URL that will allow you view your website via a browser.
